Job Title: Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager with a strong background in managing pubs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pub-style restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and maintaining a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide guidance and support to team members.
Operational Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate supplies.
Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and feedback.
Train staff on customer service best practices.
Ordering and Inventory Control: Manage and control inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries.
Financial Management:
Monitor and control costs, such as labor and food costs.
Shift Scheduling: Assist in creating and managing employee schedules.
Ensure proper staffing levels during peak hours.
Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff.
Identify training needs and coordinate with the Restaurant Manager for development programs.
Marketing and Promotions: Support marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
Implement strategies to increase restaurant traffic and revenue.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve customer complaints and employee issues.
Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field is a plus.
Experience: Previous 3-4 years experience in the restaurant industry, with a track record of progressive responsibility.
Familiarity with local health and safety regulations.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle challenges and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
