Position:
SME/AM – Finance & Accounts (Role: Individual Contributor)
Education & Experience:
Finance-Graduate/Post Graduate/Semi qualified CA/CMA
8-10 years post qualification of work experience in finance and [accounting operations in medium/large organization, preferably from UK and US Finance Corporate, Manufacturing or Service Industry
Location & Shift – Chennai (Adambakkam) & 11am to 8pm (flexible)
Competencies :
· Proven experience of Bookkeeping and management of full set of accounts
· Strong understanding of debits/credits and accounting principles.
· Strong skills in working with expenses, accounting and ability to reconcile accounts.
· Must have good knowledge of Office tools like word, excel, Outlook, PPT etc.
· Versatile and easily adaptable to new technology
· Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables.
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in English.
· Must be a strong team player, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periods.
· Good knowledge of Indian statutory like VAT, TDS,GST etc.,
· Experience with any ERP systems (Odoo is preferable.)
Responsibilities:
Ø Bookkeeping and related activities for UK and USA entity and processing information accurately into financial system
Ø Manage full spectrum of financial and accounting activities of assigned entities in coordination with Internal & external stakeholders.
Ø Maintain the statutory tracker (Eg: VAT, TDS, GST,PF etc.,) and do the filings on time.
Ø VAT reconciliation and refund process.
Ø Management of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable & GL in accordance with policies
Ø Computing and Posting monthly accruals, prepaid, allocations and amortizations
Ø Maintaining Fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Ø Preparing, and driving the monthly close calendar
Ø Preparing other month end schedules, reconciliations and reports
Ø Preparing weekly cash flow and projections
Ø Assisting the Controller in establishing budgets and forecasts
Ø Preparing the monthly budget vs. Actual variance report and providing reasons for variance
Ø File and maintain all journal entries and documents for internal and audit purposes.
Ø Distribute monthly financials.
Ø Assist in automating processes and procedures.
Ø Assist in identifying weak spots and control weakness and establish better controls.
Ø Assist with financial audits and tax returns.
Ø Performs other duties as assigned by Finance Controller.
